You made a video, it did well on TikTok, and now you want it on Instagram and YouTube Shorts too. Except the copy you saved has TikTok’s logo bouncing around it and your username stamped underneath, which looks like an advert for a competitor and which both platforms have historically been happy to bury.
That is the real problem behind this search, and it is a completely reasonable one. It is your video. You filmed it, you edited it, you own it.
Before the methods, one line worth drawing clearly, because it decides which half of this article applies to you.
The line: your videos yes, other people’s no
A watermark on your own video is branding you did not ask for on content you made. Removing it so you can post your own work elsewhere is ordinary creative housekeeping.
A watermark on somebody else’s video is attribution. It is how a viewer knows who made the thing. Stripping it off and reposting is passing off, and it is the reason so many creators are furious about the practice. I am not going to help with that, and it is worth saying plainly on a site that publishes a lot of “how to save things” articles.
So everything below assumes the video is yours. If it is not, the honest answer is to ask the creator, use TikTok’s own repost and embed features, or credit them properly and link back.
The only clean answer: save it before you post
This is the route that produces a genuinely watermark free file, at full quality, with no tricks. Everything else in this article is damage control for having skipped it.
When you finish editing in TikTok and reach the screen where you write the caption, look for the save option among the settings there. Where your app version offers it, saving at this point writes the video you just edited to your camera roll without the logo and without the username, because the watermark is applied when the video is published rather than when it is made.
Some versions put a download arrow on the editing screen itself instead. Look in both places. TikTok moves this around often enough that I would not swear to where it is in the build on your phone this week.

Make this a habit and the problem disappears permanently. Edit, save the clean copy, then post. You end up with a file you can upload natively to Instagram, YouTube and anywhere else, each of which prefers a native upload anyway.
Why saving after posting gives you the watermarked version
Once a video is live, tapping Share and then Save video gives you a file with the logo animating between corners and your handle beneath it. That is deliberate. The watermark exists so that videos travelling to other platforms carry TikTok’s branding with them, which is exactly the outcome you are trying to avoid.
It also explains why the watermark moves. A static logo in one corner would be trivial to crop away. Bouncing it between opposite corners means any crop tight enough to remove it in both positions eats a large part of the frame.
Cropping, and why it disappoints people
Cropping is the obvious idea and it is worth understanding its limits before you spend twenty minutes on it.
You can crop in Photos. Open the video, tap Edit, tap the crop icon, and drag the corners. If the watermark only ever appears in one corner during the portion of the video you care about, a modest crop removes it and you are fine.
The trouble is the bounce. To remove a logo that visits both the top and the bottom of a 9:16 video, you have to cut a meaningful band from each end, which changes the aspect ratio, pushes your subject off centre, and effectively zooms in on everything. On a talking head video where your face was already filling the frame, the result is a crop of your forehead.
Cropping works well in one specific case. If your video is a fixed shot with generous headroom, and the watermark stays on one side, cut that side and move on. Otherwise be realistic about what you are trading.

Covering it, which is honest but visible
The other approach is to put something over the watermark. A sticker, a text box, a logo of your own, placed in each corner the TikTok logo visits.
This keeps the full frame and the full resolution. It also looks like what it is, which is a patch. On a busy video nobody notices. On a clean, minimal video everybody does. Judge it on the actual footage rather than in principle.
What third party sites offer, and what I will promise about them
There are sites that advertise fetching a TikTok video without the watermark. They work by pulling a version of the video from a stage before the watermark is applied.

Here is what I will not do, which is promise you any of that works. Those are third party services I have no control over. They break when TikTok changes something, they go down for weeks, and their behaviour on any given video is their business rather than mine. Grabio opens them for you. The other marks on your video that nobody thinks about
Since you are cleaning up a file before republishing it, this is a good moment for the invisible layer.
Photos and videos carry metadata. Camera model, software versions, timestamps, and on anything shot with location services enabled, GPS coordinates accurate to a few metres. A video filmed at home and posted publicly can carry your address in a field nobody looks at.

I would rather people worried about this than about a logo in the corner, honestly. One is cosmetic. The other tells strangers where you sleep.
Sizing it for wherever it is going next
A cropped or re-encoded video often needs a size and ratio pass before it will upload cleanly. Instagram in particular cares about aspect ratio and duration as much as file size, and re-encodes everything on upload regardless of what you send.
