This isn’t about that. This is for when the QR code isn’t in front of you anymore — it’s a screenshot someone sent you, a photo you took of a poster last week, or an image saved from an email — and you just need to know what link or text it decodes to. Grabio’s “Scan a QR code” option reads that saved image from your iPhone’s share sheet, no camera pointing required. ## Why you can’t just “scan” a saved QR code image The Camera app’s QR scanner only works on a live view through the lens — it has no way to open a photo from your library and decode it. If the original poster, screen, or product is gone, or you only have a screenshot someone forwarded you, the built-in scanner is no help.
